Caver ranked 53 amid a field of some 275 competing charities in yesterday’s Fairfield County Giving Day.
We thank our young people for giving so much of themselves to the campaign to support Carver. They wrote a song and produced a wonderful music video with capable and heartfelt support from Carver volunteers Monette Hamilton and Norwalk Councilwoman Eloisa Melendez.
We thank Palace Productions for their perfectly wonderful pro bono support.
We thank our new volunteer fundraising leader, Fatou Niang, who recently joined us during this effort to carry forth the Carver mission in the months and years ahead.
Mo Pleasure helped our youth achieve expert closure with their initiatives and also gave us the Michael Jackson Tribute music video drawing to help inspire people far and near to support Carver yesterday. Once we receive the list of donors, we will combine those names with those who helped promote Carver via social media and select the winner to appear in the music video.
We thank our donors. Your gifts honor the continuous effort of our young people giving their all to be lifetime achievers.
You will be reading much more about Mo Pleasure and his We R 1 Voice initiative here in the days, weeks and months to come. The Fairfield County Giving Day was hardly even a true beginning of the potential this new Carver Youth Voice initiative holds for our young people, Norwalk Public Schools, and youth who live and strive for excellence — and to be heard — far beyond Norwalk’s borders.
