C.A.S.P.E.R Club

C.A.S.P.E.R Club is the Carver After School Program for Education and Recreation.

Our after school program is designed to provide children safe environment to socialize with his/her peers and enhance his/her academic ability. The recreational aspect of our program exposes children daily to a variety of sports and games that teach sharing, motor skills, coordination, teamwork, and good sportsmanship.

The educational aspect of our program provides daily tutors that assists children with homework, projects, and various assignments assigned to him/her from school. We also provide children with enrichment work to help keep them in sync with what he/she is learning in the classroom. Our program also includes various art projects, educational outings, and social outings to stimulate each child's interests.

Youth Development Program

The Youth Development Program (Y.D.P.) is a comprehensive academic program that serves Junior High and High School youth.  YDP encourages them to pursue a higher education (post secondary) and also assists and motivates present college students in pursuing their goals. Most of the members in YDP made a choice to make something of themselves and here at the Carver Center, we have a history of succeeding. In order to succeed you have to set goals for yourself and others to learn from. They are:

  • To motivate and enable all children to realize their fullest potential academically, socially, intellectually, and culturally.
  • To develop and maintain a positive and personal relationship with parents and peers.
  • To aid in preparation of students we serve to become contributing members of their community and society as a whole.
  • To produce "positive and successful role models" within the program to be helpful mentors to up-and-coming participants.
